Biography: |
| I was born and raised in Vegreville, AB and was introduced to watercolours in grade seven. Many years later while living in Banff, I signed up for an evening class in Canmore. An excellent instructor(Donna Jo Massie), having fun and being successful provided the perfect conditions to love and appreciate this form of art. And so began a now 15 year journey of looking at shapes, shadows and colors through a new perspective. Having dabbled in acrylic, pen & ink, & collages, I always find myself going back to the watercolour medium because of the looseness that can be achieved and the unique quality of the paint to create unduplicatable effects. I like using strong bright colors and one of the nicest compliments was "you have happy paintings".
Landscapes are the favoured subject matter and having lived in the Kootenays for 11 years there is no lack of material. From those first beginnings I am now stepping out to show my work and teach small classes in my home. Arrangements for viewings or commissions can be made through
